Born and raised in Lancaster County Pennsylvania, I taught art in Maryland and Alaska. I walk/run every morning, love specialty baking, and cannot resist the collaboration between painter and painting. My work is painted with archival grade watercolor on rag paper.
A signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, the Watercolor USA Honor Society, the Rocky Mountain Watermedia Society, the TransparentWatercolor Society of America, and Allied Artists of America. I hold an M.Ed. in Art Education from Penn State University at University Park and an M.F.A. in Painting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and am honored that my work has received numerous awards in national exhibitions.
